Hi everybody I just re-build my Glanza v engine. Head I cleaned & re sat all values put all new value stams in. Bottom end I put new piston rings in & oil seals ACL bearings & washers. New oil &water pumps new gaskets through out & timing kit. I also uprated to a bar of boost. Actuator decat sard fpr jam front mount intercooler ect. This is the first starlet engine ive done & was wondering how to bed it in and how many miles to do before giving it some any help would be great thanks.

everyone has different ways of going about it. i would drive it normally with no boost until warmed through nicely. check everything is good and then progressively bring on some boost and revs.

if it all seems good then thrash it. if its been built properly it will hold up fine. i did about 2 miles before full boost and hitting the limiter. runs a treat and uses no oil or water ;)

give the oil and filter a change after about 1000 miles or so.

I would advise to drop the oil after 10-20miles - getting all the crap out of the engine that might of got stuck in there or abit of wear on the new bits.

I did 5 oil changes in my 1000miles wear in using mineral oil then changed to proper oil at 1000.

bringing in slight boost at about 700-800 miles and 850-900 at 1 bar now and then.

This is more the safety way but what dac69er, people have different ways
