Hi guys!

as above mates car has been off road for 3 months now & for 1 month the brake calipers have all been off the car & only last week we fitted braided brake lines all round & new rear calipers wre fitted from another car which they worked perfectly

so now we've fitted all the calipers new brake fluid n braided lines & new bleeder nipples all round..

came to bleed the brake which we have done by using a self bleeder & have also tried the other way where i got a friend to pump the brake peddle while i saw the air come out of all 4 calipers we repeated the same procedure a good 10 times BUT we still have no brakes at all..

on the 2nd pump the brakes get hard then if i let go of the pedal & leave it for a minute then pump the peddle again it just goes straight down to the floor :(

has anyone ran into the same problem before ??? surely someone can help my friend!

need HELP, advice ASAP guys!

wanting the car ready for TOTB @ york raceway.

cheers! :)

Had a similar problem. I thought I had the brakes bled fairly well and then I would start the car and the first touch of the pedal went to the floor. So I did my final bleed with the car running and it was perfect. Can't really explain it...maybe I wasn't getting full cylinder movement without the booster running?? Worth a try at least.

Hi, yeah we've tried bleeding the brakes with the car running too but still no luck wht so ever

I'm startin to think maybe its the master cylinder because the whole system was empty for a few weeks while braided brake line wre on order

Such a simple thing normally as i've bled brakes on other starlets too in the past with no probs at all

I don't think it is the master cylinder it ant just going to stop like that you sure that the calipers are in the right side?

Right guys update from today

We have brake pressure when the car is off BUT as soon as we start the car the pedal goes right down to the floor & no pressure at all

Can see the servo expanding whilst i pump the pedal

I'm thinking master cylinder is knackered ??

dont matter where ur calipers are at thats a later problem ha ha if all the connections are dry then u chould be able to bleed them ( niple up ) if not it will be the master cylinder or servo and it isnt that hard to change just a cunt to get at thats all

if the servo is a gonner then when u press the pedal it will slowly keep going down down to the floor

hi, on the first pump of the pedal it goes almost down but 2nd pump it holds pessure an gets stiffer this is when car is started

master cylinder n servo are expanding as we brake so wre almost certain they work as they should

what can it possibly be ?

keep bleeding the brakes ?
has gone slightly better tho
