bmw 318 i

I have a mate looking at buying a bmw 318i and he is telling me that it is not a 1.8 there 2.0 litres it just the weight of them and because they are not very quick there are classed as a 1.8 not a 2.0 this sounds like a load of shit if you ask me I thought the lite of the car went by how many cc's the engine. Has any one else herd of this and tell me if its true or not

Depends on the year and model variant, it could have a 1.7, 1.8, 1.9 or 2ltr engine.

log book or vin plate on the car is the best bet to go by, unless you want to go through the trouble of doing a displacement bore-by-stroke test..
