looking at something random, reasonably powerful and rwd. come across a bmw 330ci sport at a decent price.

what are they like? want something for a bit of fun and anything rwd and jap is expensive for me to damage.

anyone had one, had any experience of them etc???
any opinions welcome.

I've got an E46 330d sport (I assume it's an E46 your looking at) for the daily driver, It's perfect for that.

Good cruiser and still handles well, totally different to the likes of a starlet obviously but still fun, mine is pokey and good on fuel but the petrol will be worse on both counts! :p I don't find the parts expensive when compared to the starlet but they do need looking after, brakes and bushes don't last long.

yeah e46. its done highish miles, 150k ish i think. back looks a bit saggy too. so its either lowered a bit, or he suspension is worn out.

Bushes are a big and common problem on the e36, my rear axle bushes have gone on mine, I think the e46 is the same. Might have leaking shocks mate.

The rear of the sports are a lot lower than the front - see mine above, the tourings look silly! However rear springs breaking is also an issue on them so make sure it's not that.

Was actually considering one before the starlet but thought nah, cant be bothered with any trips to the bmw parts department where id no doubt get my wallet raped.
