boost gauge!!

quick question!! i want to wire my boost gauge upto my spot lights but i have wired it to the headlights and when i turn them on the gauge goes off!! can someone tell me which wire it is for the fog lights ir what colour it is!! cheers lads!!

Would that not make the gauge illumniate as soon as you switched your car on and the CD player came on?

No there is a constant positive fed to your head unit just splice that wire

And make sure you put a switch to cut the power so that the battery doesn't go dead,and you'll have a switch to put somewhere hidden

You could always put the boost gauge wires in the back of the cigarette lighter if you have long enough wires, thats what i did and the gauge light comes on when you turn the ignition. Then its on all the time day or night just as long as the ignition is turned.

there is an illumination wire for the headunit. i just used that. comes on with the lights now!

My gauge is completely black until the ignition is on so i hada wire it up the way i did or else i wouldnt be able to read the gauge
