Boost issues

Took a spin today after hooking up the boost gauge.
It will only hit .5 before it starts to splutter and misfire. It won't go above .5.
Plugs were fairly sooted when I removed them.
Could a faulty hks actuator be culprit here?
The engine came from a GT and had no issues

Fun fact,
GT,s and gt-four fault codes are the same :)
Either 52 or 54 is knock sensor but will only come on at 1750 rpm then resets when ignition is switched off
My st185 done it, was an absolute cunt to change with the 4wd box in the way

Thanks for that, what happens is the car drives fine until you hit boost. Boost gauge wont go past .5
When I drive on into boost the eml comes on and it starts to misfire and pop. The eml goes off by itself when I go back to driving off boost.
Pulled the plugs and they'd fairly sooted up black

Just as we were going for the diagnostic pins I copped the above map sensor said to myself that's not right haha hopefully this is the issue certainly wouldn't be helping. So it started lashing rain, closed the bonnet and got online
