boost pressure v fuel pressure

Whats your spec?
Best set up with a wideband and det cans, or get a tuner to do it for you. It will destroy your engine in a matter of seconds at full throttle.

std internals, fmic, decat, fpr, ported std mani, could air feed, ported WG, hks actuator running arounf .9 of a bar atm, running rich thow need to borrow a lambda again to set it better was just wondering what other people were running to make sure i was in the right area

Whats your fuel pressure set to at the moment? Stock is 2.3/2.4 bar. You running a plug and play ecu or got a FCD?

These plug and play ecu's prefer to run at stock fuel pressure. I would turn it down to 2.3 bar and check it on a wideband.
Reason being is that raising the fuel pressure increases the flow rate, the ecu doesn't compensate for flow rate, it only opens and closes the injectors for a set time. If the flow rate is increased and time stays the same you'll be injecting more fuel, hence running rich.

with fuel pressure there is a golden rule and that's not to exceed 70psi of pressure at the injectors. The regulator will add 1psi of fuel pressure for every 1 psi of boost so if your running 60psi base pressure you can really only run another 10psi of boost before the fuel pressure hits 70psi.

When this happens the injectors are likely to stick and become non liner flow and inconsistent flow which is seriously putting your engine at risk of generating lean spots throughout the rev range, ultimately leading to blown pistons.

Hope that sheds some light onto fuel pressure.

Tim :)
