Random purchase yesterday lmfao
Eton 90cc quad bike
Well, done a deal with Phil M on here :)
It involved, 2 bosch af sensors, 8 rx7 injectors, 2 head gaskets and some seals, a Ricky laker tial wastegate and a bloody huge catch can lol and a nice wee basket to put it all in I'm sure Mrs M will be looking for sometime lol

Overall in great condition, front plastic mount points are broken but plastics are cheap as fuck or can just make a few wee brackets up and nut and bolt them.

The bad, it starts and runs but cuts out when warmed up and then won't run again until it cools, that's the way Phil bought it and that's the way I took it.
Have to admit I'm not very clued up on quad bike engines but will start with the basics, plug, fuel lines, clean carb, check choke etc
Not sure what to do with it really lol,
When the kids where younger we had 2 off these and 2 slightly bigger 110cc quads for Me and Danielle, also had a 110cc pit bike and a kx80 scrambler. Used to spend days away out with the Mates and all the kids, Big bbq going an all :)

Always wanted to put a pit bike engine in 1 of these for a laugh
My 110 years ago had Renthal bars, wide tyres, stainless exhaust and a K&N filter and breather lmfao

Had the plug out and cleaned it then took air filter off, bottom of it was clobbered in grass and loads of crud inside, foam element the bottom was quite clogged with crud so blew it out and cleaned it, housing has been thoroughly cleaned inside and outside too, maybe see an improvement.
Something has got too hot aswell at the top of the cylinder and I noticed it has adjustable shocks all round :)
Next few days gonna take the plastics off and get it outside for a good clean down

Wouldn't start at all after that :( spark is good and strong tho, replaced a fuel line, need to get a few more, have line here but its too stiff, filter is rotten inside too so get 1 tomorrow, then I noticed there seems to be an A/F mixture screw missing on the carb, the idle screw is present tho and the carb is filling up, not even going to fuck about looking for 1 and have just ordered a new carb and air filter for 16£ lol
Need a left/rear brake lever, used to be a fella I knew broke quads and bikes in Belfast, gonna randomly ring him tomorrow lol

Spent the day stripping it down :) tanks off and cleaned, took carb out to prepare for the new 1 then noticed buried in keek and shit was the A/F screw :)
Striped it all down and cleaned it and adjusted it per what I found online and fitted it again.
Hooked the tanks back up and reconnected everything and it pretty much fired up straight away :) didn't last long tho as the A/F was waaaay out so had to play about for 10 minutes to get it set, now it's revving right out and dropping to a nice tick over. It's cooling down now then see how it runs in an hour or so, will need to get it out somewhere tho for a proper spin and see how it behaves but pretty happy so far for all the time I've spent in it :)

seems you may have gotten to the bottom of the issue---fingers crossed

PS--time to decide if you're going with a ct9 or tfo35 on it :D

Yeah I had a short spin on it before I took it so knew it worked and went and that it was something silly. Pretty bulletproof these wee bikes from experience with them years ago :)
Just need to find out who's selling bits these days now

Would be rude not to fit shiny new parts :) 15£ delivered filter an all so that saves me another 10er for a filter
Trying to find some wide rims and tyres now, used to fall over stuff like that years ago but not these days it seems :(

Back brake lever was missing and the end of the cable at the lever was mangled when I got it.
Took the cable off and up to a mates house, he was able to heat it up and straighten it and then he found me a lever that should work :)

Got the lever on earlier and built back up again had a leaky reserve tank hose right at the connection so was able to take 10mm off and refit it :)
Just need to get it out somewhere now for a test
