Bypass the Knock Sensor

Has anyone bypassed the knock sensor successfully?

I have been searching on the net and found this link below but not sure if it will work for the 4efte.

Why would you want to bypass the knock sensor????? its there for a reason prob one of the most important sensors on the engine along with the map sensor!

I know the risk I am taking, but when I use the launch control it breaks every time, its the third time now

I wouldn't be doing that if I was you! However if your sure your ignition timing and fuelling is spot on then you might get away with it for a few miles...

ive used lanch control on mine a few times and as far as im awear mines ok, how would i know if my knock sensor was broken/not working?

I see what ya getting at now I can understand you not wanting to keep buying new ones!! BUT I stick with saying its not a good idea, I run a bosch hi res sensor on mine but im full stand alone and run full knock protection

keep the KS and find a way to make your LC work with it. it's been done before. we're here to help..
