Hi,
Basically I put up a wanted ad here and on extreem ep, asking for this part:

Now I've had 2 replies, one saying its to do with the AC (which I don't think is true) and one saying what I think it is, the abs pump.
So if you know please let me know so I know what I need to track down and buy!
Thanks

Hm, ok. But, what is the oil type fluid that is escaping from it!? There was a hissing which would tie in with a leak to the AC gas, but I can't think where this oil is coming from.... It's definitely from there the car isn't leaking elsewhere, you can see it on the intercooler.

Theres a grey cap with a H on that stands for high and there will be another with L for low. They are the recharging ports for the air con

The aircon sytem has oil in it, so its probably just that. Doesn't take much oil to make a mess!

I could do! Although I do like my aircon especially with the weather like it is at the moment! Would it make a noticeable difference to performance?
I'm currently running .95 bar from the ct9 with an emb, upgraded stainless zisco manifold, hks induction, blitz nur spec exhaust and a FMIC oh and a decat pipe

The pump, bracket, radiator, condensor weigh a fair amount, best to rip it out tbh. We don't get very many hot days and if it is hot, open the window ;)

To be fair I generally use the sunroof rather than air con at the moment anyway, you can hear the car better ;) I'll see how much it costs and decide on that, I'll also need to fix my drivers window as it doesn't work. Not only for hot days but It's also Highly inconvenient at a drive through or ticket operated carpark!

It costs virtually nothing to remove it, just some tools ;) All you will need is a non air con belt which can be had for about £10 from any local motor factors. Will cost you more than that just to re-gas the system.

Told you, abs is on the left side if standing in front of the car, with all the brake lines going towards it.
