high guys ever since i changed to a civic type radiator my slim fan seems to take to long to shut it self off. i'm not having any overheating or coolant loss either so i was just wondering if this is normal when you go civic radiator ?? i do have the fan in the right position thus blowing air toward the engine bay!! just like the oem one. here in Aruba is 24/7 hot every day so we dont have winters, maybe that have something to do with the fan staying on longer than the oem rad ??

also my rad hose seems to get harder after some hard driving? noticed on my friends oem rad type hose seems to be a lot softer ?? my rad came with a 1.3bar cap don't know it this can cause extra pressure in the system ?

will appreciate the help thanks guys

Is it a dual core civic rad? Or is it an OEM one?

radiator seem to be building to much pressure inside, can it be head gasket ??
i'm not losing oil or coolant and there seem no oil and coolant mixing either

1.3 bar does allow for higher pressures so yes hoses can be harder.

Anyways, are you sure there is no air inside the system anymore?

been doing some research on those fans and radiators as my current corolla double core one is currently shot, what i have observed is the "ebay" fans are a bit ... overrated with regards to spec and the lack of a shroud isnt doing anyone a favor in most of these installs. check on those things please.

hi guys thx for the reply, and an update:

apparently my dual core rad was blocked i now have a new one with a 1.1cap on it it doesn't overheat anymore
but the hose still does get very hard also fan seems to turn of faster now

but im still worried why the hose is so much under pressure?? or is this normal??

thanks

rad cap have a ssspring, it controls how high of a pressure before it pops off and vents to the overflow, higher the number on the cap higher the pressure in the system before popoff
