your were repairing cars three years before you were born?

or are you older than you make out\|?

Phil

No, I was about 5 when my Dad started showing me around the workshop :)

Built my first engine at 11 for a Mini :)

mine is a pig to start due to uber rich running, if i don't catch it first time on the key it requires a lot of throttle to coax it into life as it floods out.

better management is next on my list (currently running emb)

what injectors dub?

mine is a pig with 550's lol, just bought some 460's to make the emb life a bit easier.

hopefully should be able to trim enough fuel for it to start reasonably well as i have just goosed my second starter and it cant be doing the engine any good.

460cc, it normally does kick in fine, albeit on 3 cylinders and lumpy but within seconds it's fine.

it's if i don't catch it first time, else it's a lot of cranking at full throttle before it splutters into life, one cylinder at a time :homer:

yeah mines like that all the time, but sometimes it will fire up on all 4 instantly!

oh well. at least it will be better, i cant really afford new management atm, there is always so much to fork out on the bloody think lol. need new coilovers and some better pads for the wilwood kit for next years trackdays at least, but ideally i need a new manifold too!

going to get it remapped on a vf24 this time, see what its like.

back on topic anyways lol ;)

to be honest, now mine's out of daily service i don't need to worry about cold starts and such, so chances are the emb will do me fine still, the only trouble i have with it is a rich idle and occasional cold start probs.

should go well on the vf :)

vf24 is the best turbo ive felt on a 4e.

progressively turning to savage.

rather than a td04 that kicks you slightly harder than it ever really lives up to, if you know what i mean.

though personally really looking forward to even td04.

stupid wee things, i can afford the car to be off the road bar the time it takes to fit the kit, so everything needs to be sitting perfect.

need downpipe studs and nuts.

change external gate spring to a 1bar one, need my new boost controller to arrive also.

but here good luck with the ihi turbo boss :) and ill let you knwo how i get on with my td04

good man, i need a 1bar spring for my turbosmart ewg, cant find one anywhere tho, bought a 1bar from ebay, it was way too stiff! boosted to high heaven lol, my ebc struggles to run over 1.4 bar with a .4bar spring though.
