compression test result

I just done a compression test on a forged engine with standard headgasket, the head was skimmed a few months ago and valves reseated, i got 175 psi on all four cylinders,
is this a bit high or is it ok?

I believe 170 to 180? I know I have 150 which is a worn engine

180 is standard comp i believe, thats spot on just what you want to see! lol its a kick in the nuts to see 100 on 1 cyl. lol

I just had a compression test on Saturday. Got 150 across all cylinders. Standard engine. From reading the above that sounds a bit low to me. :(
Any advice from anyone?

Should I start saving for a forged lump now?

Absolutely not. 180 is a bit on the high side for a forged lump.
Will have to watch out for detonation. Should make good power at relatively low boost tho.

My previous gt had 150 across all 4 and made good power for a long time.

Think I am getting paranoid about engine trouble at the moment.
Well i say standard engine. I meant standard block. Its TD04 at 1bar.

180 is not to high at all. 2bar should not be a problem!
150 should be good for 2.5 bar. Obviously on good fuel and a tuner that is not a tard :p

Well most people run 1.2 or 1.4 mm headgaskets with dished pistons on forged builds to lower compression a tad. I've got a 0.6 trd one on mine but compression isn't sky high.

I was always going to do my engine... too scared to see how bad it is lol but now i have another engine i think i will give it ago just to see
