Coolant temp sensor (fan switch)

As title says. Im after a working fan switch / coolant temp sensor so I can try to eliminate my high idle issue. I've checked and changed the tps, and am in the process of checking all vaccum hoses. But the fan switch stays in constantly, with an old sensor the fan worked correctly. So I am guessing it could be the cts.

Im haveing the same idle problem aswell...When you say your fan switch says in constantly do you mean your fan dosnt stop spinnig? on the rad?

Just when mine starts idleing i can hear something in the engine bay click then it idles at 1000rpm sometimes over then all of a sudden the idle drops then it tick over at the right rpm 950 but i can still see the neddle bobing up and down as if its thinking and trying to working something out?..So im also thinking i need a cts which you can buy from camskill for £52 yeah i know they are not cheap but if it stops it then its worth the money!

Yea the rad fan stays on constant mate.

I'll have a look at camskill and may treat myself to a new sensor. I wanted a second hand one so I could see if it would solve my problem before I bought a new one but I may just have to dip into the pockets and get a new one

What sensor do you need, if you describe where it is ill go out and ave a look for it as im sure one will be on the shell in my garage,

Where abouts are you in dorset? have some sensors and fan switch you can try. CTS and fan switch are two different things.
