could this be a sign of worn cluth?

Hi guys, I have an issue that started a week ago while driving if I put my foot down the car would boost and the rpm rises quickly but it doesn't pull fine and if I keep my foot down the the rpm lowers a little and it starts to pull but nit as good as it's supposed to. For example it goes quickly to 5000 rpm then back to 4100 rpm even though I floored it all the way.
I'm guessing it's the clutch slipping but there's no clutch smell or any smell what so ever

sounds like the clutch, or you are getting wheel spin. drive along in 4th gear at about 3000rpm, floor it and slip the clutch a bit, if the clutch bites back and brings the rpm down and the car starts going its ok, if it continues slipping the clutch has had it.

if your only getting slight slipping now and again then it wont smell.

thanks guys, Yeah I guess it's a clutch, It does it every now and then, more often after some aggressive driving (when it heats up maybe). but It drives fine If I drive like old people :D :D
I've always thought that it must smell pretty bad as my old 2E have taught me :D
going to replace it this weekend and report back

Put the handbrake on ,start the engine & depress the clutch pedal and put the transmission in fourth gear then slowly let up on the clutch while stepping on the gas pedal if you are able to completely release the clutch pedal without the engine stalling , tht means ur clutch is history

4age mr2 has a 212mm clutch. but make sure you get the correct one as i think they do a few different sizes for the 4age. diameter is the same but not sure about the fitment.

we don't have these either :S :D
I think I read somewhere 7afe or maybe another afe engine of a corolla had 212. I'll be taking the clutch out and showing it to dealers around here trying to match it with another one :S
