ct9 hybrid

right.... bought a glanza about a month ago, and i was told when buying it that it had a hybrid turbo. its definately a ct9 and ive seen that you can put hybrid internals? (i could be wrong) anyway i was wondering how i could find out if it is hybrid or not? got reciepts from toyosports for £300 for ct9 turbo... then £273 from turbo dynamics for a rebuild, no mention of hybrid anywhere though any ideas??

on the intake side count how many fins it has i think 10 is a hybrid could be wrong ? or compare to your standard turbo

i only have the one on the car... i may of explained wrong, it says ct9 on the end but was unsure of whats inside. so il count the fins and get a pic up if i can get a decent one i just know it pulls like mad and he (claims) its 170bhp again theres no proof but ive never been in another one to compare?

had a look inside and believe theres 8? will put some pics up after college

does it say " SPEE CT9 " on the compressor housing? the "SPEE" may be hard to see as it is on round a bit from the "CT9"

Measure the compressor intake internal diameter and let us know. Hybrid should be a little larger to let more air in than the stock ct9 ( 36mm internal diameter).

didnt seee any other writing other than ct9 but il double check... and il try measure it but its a fecker to get into :/

best way is to take off the intake piping and get a pic put up here, as it has been rebuilt, god knows what its been rebuilt with

thats brightened up my day then...thought i was mugged off when he said hybrid and it said ct9 haha. so i WAS thinking about going tdo4 route, is there any point from the hybrid?
