Had a nice call today from a long time previous customer, i thought he'd moved to different pastures but it was nice to get the call.
He wanted a clutch/flywheel with timing belt etc install and bit of an overhaul to what we found while it was apart
Apologises for the pictures, seems John who took these didn't get the grips with the camera :dunno:
Typical Split St205 Intake
Some weird Bolting solution on the lower hub, original thread was totally gone in the hub.
Bad oil leaks from the gearbox, turned out to be destroyed plugs and washers so these were replaced
The more common destroyed CV joint gaitor
Broken exhaust bracket which was causing a right noise
Some really safe way of replacing a blown main relay fuse, appears to be copper wire just wrapped around the terminals
Worn shifter bushes
And a really bad oil leak from the distributor
But all these were repaired with new timing belt, tensioner, water pump and crank seals (both ends) and new camshaft seals. A new rocker cover gasket and bolt seals were also installed. Along with distributor seals and resealed the journals.
Head was also re-shimmed to the ideal intake 0.006-0.0010" and exhaust 0.0011"-0.0015"
