Here is a video of my gt making this strange noise, can people tell if its a cv joint that needs replacing or a new top mount or if its anything else. its only on full lock does it make this crazy noise and also when its cold it doesn't help.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXgDSXtJCqQ

The noise has got worse recently as you can hear at 14-15 sec's and the old noise is at 16 secs.

Thanks for any help

ummm i havn't but it did go to the garage so maybe it could be that.

It's being going on for a while but has got worse recently.

I have d2 coilovers by the way

doubt you need any parts..

it could just be the coilover not on right, maybe you need to grease up the topmounts,im sure some other users of d2's have had similar problems:)

Yeh the garage had a look and greased something up which i think was the top mounts and it stopped for like a day.

maybe top mounts are needed

strange little ping at the end, you sure it's not the braided hoses catching on something & the ping is the metal hose clip on the D2s pinging back?!

mate also do you have any idea why it is only running 6psi?

was it running standard 9/10 psi when you had it?

dosn't sound like a CV joint or topmout tbh

sounds like the hose rubbing on the coilover and then the clip pinging!

yeah some pics would be sweet!! :D do miss the ol' gal! :(

was running 10psi when i had her..... boost leak? actuator giving up the ghost? *cough* got it on lo boost?! ;)

lmao nah not low boost this time :p

i think the actuator has seen better times, gonna get a adjustable one soon and some blue nuts for the wheels to give her some more detail.

Ill have a look and see whats happening with the braided lines tomarrow.

The 5 ok yeh?

I'd say it's the topmount binding/seezing, i had that problem too a bit of WD40 should cure it. it did for me but just kept coming back. so i evetually had to change the top mount
