D.I.Y. knock detector location on block?

Hi Gents

Where would be the most appropriate/ideal location on the ep82 block to place the DIY knock "sensor/pickup" ... i take it has to be ideally situated where one can pickup equal potential pinging/knock from all four cyclinders .. im no expert at this so please feel free to rectify me if im wrong or typing non-sensicle BS

They go on the head

there is a few bolt holes on teh front just above the exhuast oulets, that would probly be the ideal place.

wouldnt cam and exhaust intake noise make knock detection harder if placed close or on the head?

depends how you set up your reading device. my tuner uses one on the head where i metnioned and wuite alot of factoy cars use a similar place.

I had my d.i.y one hooked up to the right of my manifold and it's hooked up to my raido so i can hear it in my speakers and i heard a lot of cam noise but thne again there was no pinging lol. gonna try another position on the block to see what sounds i get.
