Difference between solid and sprung....

The springs in the center of the clutch disc are there primarily to soften the engagement of the clutch. This also serves to minimize the shock loads the driveline might see in normal use.

Solid Centre clutch disks are used for racing purposes, and provide a more consistent drive, however do cause damage to the drivetrain.

So a 4 paddle sprung would be good for daily driving.

NO, what the hell do you figure that?

The less paddles the clutch has, the rougher it is, and the faster it grabs.

A TRD 3 Puck clutch is one of the worst clutches to drive on the road. 5 puck is what i would go for on the road. Also the heavyness on the foot is governed by the clamp force of the pressure plate.
