driveshafts/ hub question

i am removing my engine for forge rebuild.

got my N/S drive shaft outa the hub easy just a rubber mallet few taps and it poped out.

my O/S is tight as fuck and will not budge any tips?

also how do i go about removing the drive shafts fromt he gear box on both sides will they pull out ?

have done a good few times lost it abit aswel :rockon:

yup to get it out of the hub nit it harder lol, and from the gearbox (make sure u drained it first) use a lever bar and hammer to shock it out, get in under the lip of the drive shaft closest to gearbox lever to take up the tension then just a couple medium hits will gently ease it out, sometime they pop out in one other times they slowly come out

you know for draining the gearbox oil

if it the nut on the right side of the gearbox to drain off?

cuz theres 1 on the front and 1 of the side

the shaft isnot the hub is solid

going to have to just removing them from gearbox side!

what plus drain and what plugs fill?

the one on the front which is half way up is for refil you undo it and when u pour it in you wait til it starts to come out of that and thenm u have to correct amount of oil in there

can you explain how to remove and replace them from gearbox

does the gearbox have to be opened?
