dump valve problem

right guys ,

really needing help here , can not work this out my dump valve will not sound, its a blitz super sound one and i can push the piston in and out and all move free, i have took it to bits and all is fine no broken bits. The D/V is mounted right before the inlet manifold and the screw is turn out so the spring should be soft. It sounded twice for some result and just won't do again all i ever get is waste gate chatter.

Any wisdom would be great because i am running out of ideas and this is very strange!

Seems like you've already checked everything out already. It may simply be a case of "made by man so it dies eventually" assuming it's not brand new. Very strange though.

it should work the piston moves there is boost , i think its some thing to do with vaccum , it may not be lifting the piston for some reason

you may not be producing enough boost to push the piston. Are you sure its for an EP82/EP91?

Have you tried adjusting the nut on the top of the valve?

there is a boost gauge fitted mate but its coming off a different feed . i think it is for the starlet as it used to work on the ct9 and it came with the ct9 pipe. i did find that you had to give it some stick on the ct9 to get it to dump some times. i am running a k24 on about 0.8 bar

I sort of have the same problem...well the pistons moves, so I know the BOV is working, but hardly dumps in the position it is in..same as above. Let us know wat is was :p
