Dump valve question

this may sound like a realy stuped question but with a blow off valve they are more better then a dump valve and louder arnt they?

also with starlet turbos do they blow head gaskets like renault 5s so i am going to get one so trying to get as much info on them as possable

Wrong section mate. Please be more careful where you are posting in future..

Anyhow. You are getting confused - Blowoff and dump valves are the same unit.

The stock valve is a recirculation valve that sends the air back into the intake system. An aftermarket atmospheric valve throws it out into the atmosphere giving the 'whatdafuc' reaction that we all know and (some) love.

They are not a true 'performance' item as they do not add power.

sorry guys thought she meant Blitz or HKS as ppl always refer to them as Blow Off Valves instead of others that are refered to as dump valves
