Ebc installation

Is there any way of installing an ebc while still using the factory hi/lo solenoid. I know most will say just bypass it but I'd like to keep it working, I have an hks actuator setup atm.

i tried to hook up an electric dual stage boost controller via the hi/lo switch a long time ago ...i could not get it to work due to the oem wiring and could not be bothered to think about it too much...i just ran it direct

i suspect it may be possible with some electrical/ecu knowledge and maybe relays

Depends how you want it to function?

The stock hi/lo It's just a fixed position bleed valve, so if you pipe it to alter the boost whilst the controller is still trying to control it, then it will have a fit.
If you get a boost controller that doesn't have closed loop control, then it will be better, but a waste of time imo.

I will be honest, once you fit an exhaust with decat and uprated adjustable actuator the hi/lo is pretty useless anyway.

You would be better off using the hi/lo function to change between settings on your ebc. It's on my to do list to have a go doing it.

I have a exhaust, wepr mani and decat, high flowed ct9 and changed actuator to the hks adjustable actuator and can still feel a difference between hi and lo.
I have put thr restrictor nipple in the hose which I think is key for the hi/lo function to work. (According to the instructions in Japanese, lol)

Just fire an ebc in, most of them you can run hi/lo boost, I'm using a Profec A in the Caldina currently Lo .9 Bar Hi 1.3 and switchable with a button :)

Because I have a tee going to the hi/lo solenoid currently, I assume this would need to go before the tee but unsure which side, or am I completely wrong in thinking it'll work this way?

But not "the" button haha
I know its petty. I want the car looking completely stock so I can just hide the ebc in the glove box when not needed, perhaps mount on a bracket when the glovebox is open..

Lmao
My button is cooler tho, it's also an OverTakeBoost as they call it lol, press it once and it gives you Hi boost for 30 seconds with a countdown timer lol
Old as the hills these days but cool as fuck retro tuning :)
