I work for a company that does automatic taxi dispatch systems, anyway this involves putting a datahead into the taxis and one fairly common fault is that when a car is off and the datahead is on when they start the car it turns itself off.

Everytime its been the car battery on its way out. It turns of cause the voltage is being drawn away to the starter motor.

Try a dif battery
