Engine break in?

How do you guys reccomend to break in the engine?

I replaced the pistons,rings, acl bearings.

How should I break it in?

I've driven 50+ and have done the first oil change and have been keeping the revs below 2000 but now I have moved up to 2500. I've been using engine breaking as well.

How should it be done?

Some will take the one way some other the other.
I did the hard way with many oil -filter changes,light boost,hard accealation ,hard decelaration,no idle at all.
