Engine problem.

Hello.

Well the other day my car started to miss fire im only running 0.6bar on a td04. I changed all the plugs, leads distributor unit etc but still didnt make any difference.

I done a compression test today 1=55 2=165 3=165 4=165 the car doesnt smoke what so ever hasnt use a drop of oil or water.

I might start on removing the head tomorrow but does anyone know what the cause might be? eg dropped a valve etc?

but wont i be getting excess crankcase presure causing it to come out the breather or dipstick?

by the sound of it i think you have cracked the ringlands on NO1 piston which would cause loss of compression,same thing happened to me and was not cheap to fix.you'll have to take No1 piston out to find out.I'd take head of like you said and see if it's something minor ie headgasket,crack in valve etc

could be valve problems maybe burnt a edge out on a seat

im hoping its a valve instead of a piston i might go and make a start in a bit.
