Hi all!

Been on here for a couple of weeks now and never put an official hello thread up! Thought it was time to do so, and here I am! Little background about myself, but if you've seen my other thread in the other forum you'll probably already know..

I first started life out in a little Hodna Civic EG track car, spent a year and half building the fella up all the way from it being a little 1.5 VEi economy VTEC model right the way to its present form, a stripped out engine swapped 1.6 DOHC VTEC.. This kept me happy for a while, but then it came to the point, I couldn't really enjoy it on the roads as VTEC was so high up by the time I've hit it the road has run out.. this was a very fast little car, especially around corners..

But I started to do some homework and see what other pocket rockets are out there, with a huge choice available I began to think, I will one day eventually be going Turbo, so why not start learning it now, so that instantly struck a few cars off the list of potentials. I finally settled myself for the little Toyota Starlet, but then it was a case of, which one, the GT Turbo or Glanza.. At that point I put my Civic up for sale and a EP82 owner approached me for a part exchange, and I was happy to do this so the swap was done and I am now the proud owner of a EP82 quad headlight.

Its virtually stock, except a couple of minor mods, so back to doing homework for things to get, the list has been dominated by handling mods at the moment, ranging from Whiteline anti roll bars all round and Cusco coilovers eventually..

Problems that need solving are sticking rear brakes, and then a full complete wack service, cam belts, the lots!

Future plans, make it handle as well as my Civic and turn this into a car that I am happy to drive on the roads and provide me with track fun, so power is going to be around the 200BHP mark, and maybe I might get LSD for it..

But for the time being engine power to be kept stock-ish and all handling mods..

Any Birmingham members on here, as I've only seen 2 EP82 quadlights thus far, and 1 Glanza.. Are there Birmingham meets?

Hope this read hasn't been boring for anyone.. I'll probs when I get into the full swing of things start taking pics and put a little write up on the members section..

Thanks for reading!

Albert.

lol.. Harborne.. 5 mins away from Selly Oak hahah.. maybe pop down to the Gunnies one evening for a mini meet or something :) But mine is a little poorly so I don't want him to go anywhere far.. in fear I might burn teh brakes to bits! As once almost happened with the poor Civic.. lol.. same caliper as well!! But that had fully binded I think as a short trip into city centre it was cooked!! Litterally!!

Rich is better than lean! I have no idea what mine is doing.. but once I start doing engine things I'll need to beef up the management side! The fun we get with project cars.. nothing ever goes smoothly lol.. adds to the fun I guess..

Any idea where I can find a brakes specialist or something like that who can refurb both my rear brakes so they are working properly? Fronts seem OK for now so waiting to let them wear down and save up for some Wilwoods..

When does term start? Wish I could go to freshers fair!
