dont think there is a golden rule to be honest, i think your first mod should depend on your spec already, what have you got already

wouldnt bother with a turbo timer.. gimmick as far as I am concerned.

I would say tires would be first on my list. These cars handle badly as it is, the very least you need is decent tires on there.

ive paid and am waiting on the car to be "shipped" over,
its a totally standard gt turbo,

so as for engine reliability, the standard top mount is fine? thought it would get a little warm being on top of the engine thats all ,
if its safe enough, suspension and tyres seems like the most logical thing to do :)
thanks guys

Suspension and wheels.
And a AFR meter to make sure all is right at all time.
And a dyno to make sure all is tip top :)

you have to remember mate that he is in the uk so a run on a dyno isnt exactly cheap. not really worth it on a stock car

Tyres, coilovers and a proper boost gauge first.
Then a service including new plugs and leads.
Then brakes.

Everyone seem to have different point of view. I would start with the brakes front ones and changing all fluids and the cambelt. Then make an air filter relocation kit in front of the radiator and you can keep the ac if you want to. Then suspension - but for some people that would be the first mod. After that you can get a front mount, fcd, fpr and an hks actuator and get the car to 1 bar.
