The solenoid must be connected to the main display unit mate then the red + wires goes to + on the batteries and - which goes to a good ground that all.Normally when it display green its off and when red it is active.Note it is recommended you fit it on acc that is when ignition on it always on and when take off key it turn off.

The stock boost solenoid has to go. The EVC has a high/low setting anyway so you can still have two levels of boost.

HKS instruction manual :

If you are still using the stock actuator, see the "dual port actuator" installation pages for fitting help.

Thanks for the help, rep on the way. I've seen the method for dual port but why do some people fit it as a single port and block the other off. Whats the benefits to this? thanks

Ive now fitted the EVC 3 using the dual port method instead of blocking off the 2nd port. It seems as if the boost goes up to 5 psi quickly but takes time to reach 10 psi. Would this have anything to do with using the dual port method or could it have something to do with taking the vacuum feed for it off the front vacuum line which also has the ssqv, emanage mass sensor and boost gauge coming off the same vacuum line? If i run some of these of a different feed will this give a better vacuum to the HKS solenoid and therefore reach maximum boost quicker? Any info will be good, thanks
