hey everyone ,

i was previously using a helix clutch that i got from a member , plus pressure plate n flywheel , which i remember was lightened , apparantnly its a 5e assembly , used ony my 4e without troubles for a few yrs ,

however the clutch died and i got a new kit which i think is a 5e one by mistake aswell ,

only worry here is i got a few cracks in my 5e flywheel , so im looking for one now , came across a few , 3 of them have the same pattern for the crank+pressure plate , but too small for clutch disc , third one is fine but its kinda like +40% weight on mine , could it the fly really be lightened so much that it cracks this easily ?
ty !

heres the fly i found on my stock 4e , too small for clutch ,

this was also too small , figured it was a 4a one...

this is the fly i got with the helix clutch , fits crank n plate / gbox just fine , some hair line cracks though dont know if its too serious ?

i found one identical to this , but as i said above , considerably heavier , if its not a 5e one , only other option is 3Et ??

figured that the first pic might actually be a 2e wheel , as it fits with a 2e clutch kit , 2nd one was scraped , 3rd one is prolly a 4efte one then ,
which i found one just like it , leading to me believe i actually found a 3ete fly ,
cons of running a heavier flywheel ?

Heavier flywheel will mean it revs slower but will also drop revs slower between gears.

torque improvement sounds great , gonna have to run it as is though as there are no qualified machinists for such a job lol !

i got a 5e flywheel which fits the 4efte/212mm clutch assembly---what many call a 3ete flywheel

i can tell u that its heavier than the stock 4efte flywheel......its noticeable from just holding the two of them in your hands...lol

well right now im pretty much lost , the flywheel i found that fits the 4efte clutch doesnt fit the 4e crank !

dont be confused fender...i think we are saying the same thing

as my 5e flywheel which uses 4efte/212mm clutch assembly ( pressure plate and clutch disc) fit on to my 5e crank/pattern..........NOT my 4efte engine (it cannot fit my 4efte crank)

it seems u found the relatively "rare" (well some people say so) 3ete pattern flywheel

i found mine on a 3E engine with a carburator set up---not a 3ETE, as most say u have to get it from

i got this 3e flywheel so i could use my 4efte clutch assembly (which is in good condition) whenever i go 5E.......makes life easy...lol

the flywheel in that link is mine---obviously i got it cleaned up for whenever i need it...lololol

hmmm yeh sure looks like it , ive had more like finding a 3e one than a 4efte fly heh !
now a machinist here is offering to change the pattern redrill the 3e flywheel or whatever , but i remember someone here posting pics of a redrilled flywheel in several bits !
