Fuel - filter, pump, injectors

My EP82 refuses to accelerate over 3 RPKs and has a rough idle. I’ve changed the spark plugs and waiting for my rotor and distributor cap and spark plug wires so i can replaces those too. After days of researching my next best guess is that it’s an issue with the fuel system, injectors, fuel pump or fuel filter just needs to be changed. Bought an additive to throw in the gas tank before I start throwing more money at it. Anyone have any part numbers for fuel filters for a 1994 EP82 injectors fuel pumps that aren’t OEM? Having a hard time interchanging part numbers.

Have you looked at the rotor arm and cap yet ?
Common enough failure point, on mine the king lead and cap where away but only showed up on the dyno as a small misfire, took the king lead of the cap to investigate and it fell apart lol
Big Legend had to lend me a cap and lead until my new 1s came :)

I have a cap and rotor on the way…should be here any day now I’m just assuming that nothing has been done to this car in the past 5-10 years I replaced my plugs and those bad boys were rusted through…shocked they got a spark at all.

Fuel filter Toyota part number is 23300-19395 if that helps any. There's a few non-genuine versions showing online but I haven't used any myself. Pretty sure the cheaper versions come without the bracket so you'd need to swap that over.

Remember to undo the top and bottom pipes first before loosening it from the bulkhead - the connections can be a bugger to undo so leaving it in place will give you a bit more leverage.

The part numbers for the in-tank fuel pump are:

23221-46010 (08/1990 - 03/1994)
23220-74020 AISAN (03/1994 - 01/1996)
23221-46010 NIPPON DENSO (03/1994 - 01/1996)

The earlier stock pump must have changed supplier in March 1994 so you'll possibly need a look at the old one. Walbro used to be the aftermarket go-to replacement, but they trade under TI Automotive nowadays. Same pump just branded different.

Otherwise there's blueprint and any number of cheapo chinese pumps available online.

I'd also suggest running the fault codes if you are getting engine issues, it might help pinpoint what's going on, especially if she has lay a while:

Quick update, pulled the fuel filter last night and it’s crap. At this point I’m assuming everything on my starlet is original. Pics below for reference. I’ll be replacing the fuel filter adding a fuel additive replacing air filter dropping oil and replacing the cap and rotor on the distributor. If this doesn’t work I’m looking at injectors and fuel pump next.

Going down the rabbit hole of fuel filters right now, threads on the bolt of the fuel line seem to be wider than fuel
Filter opening. Trying to cross reference from OEM…

Most fuel additives are snake oil, the only 1 I would use is called Dipatane. Not sure if that's available where you are but anything else is a waste of money, may aswell just piss in the tank :)
