most people will tell you its best to run on 99 octane fuel, i.e tesco 99 or vpower is most commonly used and works well. personally i wouldnt touch normal unleaded 95 as my car runs crap on it but its up to you! imo i also think performance is slightly better with 99 octane such a vpower, over regulary 95 octane.

Cant say ive ever noticed the difference when ive ran either to be honest! wher ei live we cant always get 99, so quite often run it on normal, made no difference to me to be honest!

i use shell V power or texeco high octane, on the odd ocation super unleaded but not regular crappy unleaded as it wont like it much mate, just run the best you can afford with the most "RON" in it :D

When i was standard i always ran 95 ron sainsburys for 3 years, now i have started running 97 ron sainsburys super and made no difference.

i would just say that in japan they have far higher quality fuel than in the UK, i believe they have 100 ron as their basic unleaded, so it would make sense to run on our premium stuff over here, as its had higher octane fuel for most of its life! imo its worth paying the extra 5p a litre or so to know im filling up with slightly better fuel, whether it acutally is i will never know lol
