gear selection and clutch question

first of all, gear selection to 1st and 2nd is sticky. when I move to gear stick from neutral to the left it doesn't spring back to the middle position, I think because of this it makes selection of 1st/2nd a bit hard. anyone else have experience with this?

now with my clutch, some ballbeg stuck a 1.3 corolla flywheel and clutch in my glanza. works fine but just curious on what's the downside to this set up?

First issue sounds like one of the cables is about to die. I would find out which one it is and change it asap. Remove your gearstick gaitor , move the gearstick in the direction it sticks and see which cable is moving.

Clutch I wouldn't worry about. Just wait until it goes and then swap it out for a 4efte one.

@ Alpha Dog, I'm very intrested in learning if you found this problem and if it was what dac69er said. I have the same problem, shifting gears quickly between 1 and 2 is near impossible as the stick seems to 'bump' something in the middle. Problem becomes less (but still noticable) up to fifth.

the previous owner used cardboard and tape to fix the gear selector. so that's fixed noe by using the proper replacement parts.

now I found out that's its a wrong gearbox in the car now. is there much difference between a N/A gearbox and a glanza box?
