Glanza cat question

So ran into the cat clearance of the subframe in the corolla problem..
Question is if I run a glanza decat to avoid the subframe can I plumb the exhaust back further to the original corolla cat?

seems you may need to consider a custom decat to mitigate the clearance issues

i'm not sure about the diameter of your stock corolla exhaust/cat and your future modification plans,,,but you certainly don't want a restrictive exhaust/cat....so possibly look at the minimum exhaust/cat diameter of the oem ep82/ep91 as a starting point.........and if you plan on future mods, then go for the popular 2.5/3.0 inch custom exhaust system

What Gorgan said about the decat pretty much, you could have a flexi section put into the decat pipe to bring it over to the original system area
Then the NCT are dicks so you could always get your cat gutted and fitted.

Does the corolla cat look restrictive from the pic? That's the system that was in the corolla and I found it fairly responsive. If I can't use this it will get me out of a spot

I've never had any issues at MOT with gutted cats, been a while since I took 1 there tho.
I would just put a big bar up that and smash it out :)

My GT was 93 so low idle test only had no issues there but they'll rev the bollix out of the Corolla

Fuckers lol, modified decat pipe to your cat then is the way, a decent exhaust place could flange yours up and make a straight pipe to swap in for after nct

Do you think the corolla cat will be restrictive? A downpipe or decat pipe from the turbo down then straight to the corolla cat to that system in the photo

It will be restrictive. It will be ok for a stock engine on stock boost, just not ideal.

It will get you out of trouble, but you would be better off with a sports cat.
