Sorry just found it was with a 2mm headgasket.

You could get a dome machined in, but personally I would avoid it. Nothing wrong with running a high CR but the knock levels can become higher.

Try get the combustion chamber to around 45cc, that will give a fair drop jn the CR.

Hey buddy,

I tought i could share my build with you. I recently did my forged 4E build with wossner pistons and scat rods head has been skimmed and block was decked for best seal possible as non has had any damage and i used a mls 1mm head gasket with all arp bolts and acl bearing. Im still running in the engine and im around the 400 miles mark now. I have to say that driveability is about the same as with the stock pistons. car does not feel any slugish of boost as it used to be.

Pistons and rods were pretty good priced and i still have to see what number i will get on the rollers.

sweet.
i think i will get the machine work done, do a dummy build, with no rings in for now, cos am i right that with scat i need to notch the block? then send the bottom end away to be built and also measured for comp ratio. i will aslo finish the head i am working on. ;)

i am now looking for beefy'r turbo's, ;) any thoughts ;)

Scat rods you will need to notch the bottom of the cylinder yes mate.

What kinda power/driveability you looking for? Whats the car going to be used for? Drag, circuit, sprint, daily?

thats easy enuf then.

i havnt a figure, just going for what i can get with the final mods i can afford to put on it. its a fast roader/daily, but when i say daily, its a quick ;) run upto town for shopping and cruising about. basically a toy/2nd car. been looking at alsorts, from td04 hybrid to gt30's. summit big and sexy :D

ok. also where to get 550cc injectors? and what is a direct fit and the same impedance? i had a look but only found the injector link and it says an impedence converter box is needed or summit?!

You can get Sard 550's, or try something like RC injectors.

If you want a gt28, I got a manifold, downpipe and screamer setup sat here ;)

i would advise you to get them cleaned rev as ye don't want yer engine running lean due to poor spray pattern from the injectors..;)
