i havnt done a compression test yet, will a compression test tell me what i need to know though?

i have put in a whole new turbo and standard actuator off a glanza and started up the car , and it still putting oil out the dumpvalve straight away,smoke/steam coming from back box too,
and the engine seems to be overheating a bit now too putting the coolant out the overflow pipe for the rad and filling the expansion bottle, so i put a new thermostat into it yeaterday and that didnt cure it either

i also put in a new set of spark plugs and it took away the miss fire for me alrite, but im still having the above problems

would it be anything to do with a blocked breather? or the way the piping is done on the turbo/actuator

would anybody on here have any close up pics or diagrams of the way all the piping around the turbo & and dumpvalve and idle air pipes are routed and what there connected too?

thanks lads

Yes,a compression test will tell you what you need to know.It sounds like your piston rings are damaged and if its overheating your headgasket could be gone too.
Do the compression test.

And as for the boost lines etc,get a picture of your own, much easier to tell you if you went wrong.

When you do the compression test,if a cylinder is low pour a drop of oil in the cylinder and repeat the test,if the compression goes up it points towards ringland failure.

The piping looks grand. If it was me id pull the oem BOV off and block the pipe off (old 50p is roughly the shape with silicone) and the 2 metal pipes on the left of the block, they can be removed,if you take a closer look you'll see its just routing back into itself bt:)

i done a compression test & cylinder 4 was very low compared to the rest of them, i put a squirt of oil into the cylinder and still didint bring up the psi , so that means its bottom end probs,

today i took off the head to check it out & cylinder four piston is rocking fron side to side , so im thinking of buying another starlet engine my friend has and using a new piston and conrod out of it , & i prob send the haed to the engine builders shop to have it all checked and rebuilt while were fixing the bottom end,

any suggestions lads??

and i checked the radiator aswell too see what was causing overheating,

it was the radiato cap thats wanked,
when i squeezed the pipe the coolant started coming out of the overflow at the top of the rad
