Hey Guys!
I have a NA EP 71 currently running 1.3 2E. I want to make it a bit more nippy. It will be a daily driver with A/T. I live in Bangladesh where everything is JDM and sourcing parts is relatively easy (lucky us!). My goal is to dish out as much power as possible by interchanging parts or doing small mods but not going overboard or overly expensive (rods & stuff) for a few HPs.
My build plan & questions are following:
1) 1st Gen 4E-FE (FTE Manifold, 99HP) -- will a tubular (Corolla/Glanza S) manifold be better?
2) FTE or 5E throttle body?
3) Advanced dizzy (1-2 degrees).
4) Thicker head gasket for increased compression.
5) FTE or FE auto tranny?
6) 2.5" custom exhaust.
7) Slightly larger injectors?
Ideas? Compatible parts? Better engine (1.5L MAX)? Suggestions?
NOTE: I do NOT want to turbo the car.
