Help needed! Rear Suspension or somewhere near...

Well...i dont know how to start but here goes...does anyone have the same problem like i had on mine when u sit in the car (idle) and try to shake the car left and right....it's making some sort of noise...it has been doing it for sometime now and it worries me....

And before anyone saying it's a knackered suspension...i've just fitted a new Teins....so it's not the problem...i just couldnt find where the noise is coming from...and also, when the car is slowing down and when you press on the brake...it's making a knock sound too when it's fully stopped. Any idea?

Does anyone in here knows if there's any rubber bushes or summin similiar that needs replacing? Or anything in the rear that needs replacing so that i can replace them? it's really starting to annoy me!

could be the bushes on the rear suspension harm where it attatches to the chassis? just an idea??? hard to tell without hearing it, whats the sound like?

get under it without jacking it up if you can and be brutal. shake the shit out of it and see if anyting will move.

That would be difficult...coz i cant get underneath without jacking up...it's sitting too low on the ground...is there any bushes or joint on the rear of a starlet that needs replacing? After all it's a 14 year old car

well no need to get right under, you can reach the panhard rod and the rear arm just by reaching under. the panhard rod bushes on mine were pretty loose before i chaged to a whiteline rod, they did knock slightly

also it could be the exhuast lol. reverse up onto some bricks and get a mate to shake the car whilst you look undernearth

I fitted a set of 'Bumpyclubs' to the back of mine last weekend. The panhard rod doesn't like it one bit. Groans and complains like these guys:

In fact the car's so stiff the bootlid, parcel shelf, rear speakers, interior trim and front seat passenger are joining in!

Golden: it's not the exhaust as i've checked on those...and will take some pic of the tegR later

Just checked....the panhard rod is making the noise! The bushes has gone on the panhard. Was wondering if there is any replace bushes for this. Its a Cusco ones...Cheers

Or do I need a new one?
