its a right thread best way is an air gun or else jam the fly wheel by removing the steel cover and use a screwdriver to jam it and then loosen it ;)

If its the one im thinking of, dont you need to lock up your cam gear or flywheel to get it off??

I gather the pulley is spinning with the bolt it is??

I dont know which pulley your thinking of mate but none of them should spin with the bolt unless something is seriously wrong. All engine pullys are keywayed or have locator lugs

an air impact gun the the best/easyest way to get the bolt undone.

if one is not available do not jam up the cam gear to try undo it, it wont work all you will do is wreck things. ie the cam belt/ the gear and other associated parts.

if need be put the car in a high gear ie fourth and get someone to stand on the brakes, this will stop the engine turning whilst you undo the bolt.

cheers
