HIDs confusion - Info needed

Hello all

One of the HID bulbs decided to go/not working and therefore needs replacing. I've never had HID's before and have a few queries:-

Where can you purchase them from i.e. can i just go into an independent car parts shop and buy one?
How do i know which one to buy, i think mine are either 5000k or 6000k but how can i go in checking to make sure i buy the correct ones?
Are they just as simple as changing a normal car bulb or is it more complex?
How much do they cost, i guess i only need the bulb but somebody mentioned that they cost like £30 each?
Do they come with some sort of warranty as the ones i have in the car, the full set including the wiring was put in 2 years ago by the previous owner?

Any info much appreciated, apologies if some of the questions sound a bit stupid but i'm new to the HID's thing.

Look on eBay mate for hid bulbs. They are not very Expensive and are priory much as easy to change as a normal bulb. The best way is of you need a had finding the correct bulb is take it out then take a photo of it as some do have different wiring connection and post it here. I don't mind then finding a link for you to eBay. Hope that helps mate. Cheers

Many thanks for the info, i'll try to get the bulb out once the rain stops.
