what are actuator and what is the diff between a standard actuator nd a HKS actuator

An actuator controls the boost of the car at the wastegate of the turbo. The HKS is alot stronger one withstanding higher boost and is adjustable to the boost you want to run..

the standard actuator is pre-set and not adjustable and most aftermarket ones are adjustable so you can vary what boost you are running by making the arm longer or shorter. also the aftermarket actuators pull alot harder so it can keep the wastegate shut for longer creating more boost! :]

Your actuator questions have been answered, but about the JAM - You sure it's not an BCC as opposed to an ECU?
