Hot/cold guage??

Just noticed this within the last 2 weeks in my car,

The needle has beeing sittin alot lower then usual and now it flickers up and down when im driving but never going over the quater mark??

Any ideas?

The thermostat itself is only about 2 months old and its a Sard one??

i assume you mean the water temp needle on the dash?

is the sard thermostat a "cool running" one which would mean it opens earlier so your temps will always be alot lower!!

But i wasnt sitting as low as it is now when i first put it in??

the weathers bin alot colder lately which means colder flowing air and colder air goin into your engine so youd have lower runnin temps anyway

engine still need to be able to get up too tempreture tho. Maybe the sensor is damaged.

my gauge sometimes actually sits of the mark about a cm below the minimum lol

Is the sensor loacted near the thermostat housing??

Are they expensive to get a new one??

Only time the neddle goes up is in traffic.
