how to test/check thermostat

can the engine thermostat be checked if it's still working or needs to be replaced? if yes, how? thanks guys!

that just shows it opens, the problem with the starlet ones is opening under pressure,

If your temp gauge drops when driving, and all the rest of it you need a new one, and dont drive it until you do as you can crack your head like that mate!

I think Glanza thermostat was design to run open when failed. SO I wouldn't worry much about it. If it fails you will loose the heating option in the car, you might not even notice it for a while!

If your temp gauge is running fine then I would not worry about it. It's when the temperature starts spiking up and down that you know its failed.
