Was a good day even though the car only lasted 29 miles. Drove her till she died, went out with a big cloud of steam and a black flag for dumping the cooling system out down the back straight
- Burn out, don't fade away lol
Amasingly, in true Toyota style, I filled her back up with water and drove home without a hitch. Shall be pulling the head off this afternoon.
I would highly recommend a day at Hullavington to anyone who wants a bit of track fun, IMO it's much better in terms of technicality and fun than the likes of Castle Combe and seems a lot easier on the tyres. Motorsport - Events also run a car control section on the same day which involves a roundabout for sliding and a slalom allowing drivers the means to find the limits of their car in a safe manner.
The cost was £110 for a full day with open pit, it could be an ideal place to organise a TGTT meet/trackday at some point.
