injectors leaking slightly, advice needed...

wel got home last night and got a bang of petrol from the car, looked under the bonnet and there was petrol all around two injectors, it seems to be coming form the fuel rail end, i replaced my injectors last weekend as one of the old ones was past it, but i just used the existing o-rings, ie took them off the old ones and put em on the new ones, im guessing that thats the problem or is it likely to be anythin else?

any advice much appreciated!

Sounds like you have nipped the seal when putting them back in.
Next time give it a bit of lube and you should be fine.

The o rings are around £2 each (!!!!) from toyota. Part No: 90301-07001

just about to fit the new seals now, what lube do ya reccommend i use?

little bit of oil does the job chek the o rings they might of twisted when you put them in dry.

i rub some general automotive grease/oil around the egde of the seals.....not a lot,,,,just a light coat

Vaseline if you cant find the other reccomendations, its ideal

surely they are just standard size o rings you could get from anywhere?

^^^ Yes, i used some general ones as a temp measure while mine were being ordered from toyota, they dont fit quite a well but still sealed up okay til my toyota ones came

yea but ive ordered all the seals around the injectors, theres 3 of em on each one, the ones goin into the head have seen better days too so i'll just do them all at once!
