Insurance renewal time

Hi everyone,

I'm once again on the annual ring around for insurance on my GT. Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck. Currently I'm with QBE through Sky insurance fully comp. I'm 23 with 4 years NCB come renewal time next week. My only mods are cat back exhaust and alloys.

Sky quoted a price higher than last year by approx £70 so I'm hunting around to see what other companies can offer (though they have said they might be able to price match I'm not holding out too much hope).

I've so far tried:
- Brentacre; around £600 f/c
- Adrian Flux; again around £600 f/c
- Keith Michaels declined as they apparently couldn't match the price of competitors.

I am also waiting back to hear from A Plan and Warrick Davis.

I know prices vary greatly case by case, but does anyone with similar NCB/mods and my age have suggestions for other places to try? Cheers for any input!

Maybe as a reference for future readers of this post, A Plan and Warrick Davis were a no go also, A Plan said no based on age (must be over 25!) and Warrick Davis couldn't compete with the others on price.

I had my renewal from HIC £1047 phoned them back and they took it down to £999 then phoned chris knott who knocked £50 off then i called HIC they knocked more off the back to Chris knott who knocked more off and eventually settled for Adrian Flux at £815 :)

spoke to adrian flux tho and they don't have a problem with it!

I renew my car insurance with SKY and got quoted 1356 f/c with all mods declared... which includes 5e forged engine, turbo upgrade, coillies, Hks fcon, remap.... the lot. thought that was ok for being 23 years of age and 2 ncb. also stated on the modification list that the car is 150bhp plus over standard. :)
