Have a look here, on the table what do the T/M and Grading columns mean?

T/M is transmition F5 for example being manual 5 speed, FAT being auto,

Grading is usually R damage repaired and 1-5 5 being cleanest condition, 1 being worst.

So 6f is a 6 speed manual and graded 3.5 is the better side of a fair condition?

sorry to go bit off topic but is it true if a car is heavily modified it will be graded as a 1, or maybe even a r?

yeah if its resprayed a different colour i think it comes up as repaired

i have also heard heavy modifications to bodywork+engine can bring it up as a r

Kinda makes it a bit hard to know what your getting then doesn't it.
