jdm Plug and play question

Has anybody ever come across a jam, blitz, sard etc ecu that still had the top speed limiter
a friend of mine had a glanza a few years ago with a cat back jam FCC and a boost controller and was an animal to go

he only kept it about 3weeks and I was ALS wondering why it was so fast I was thinking of an ecu but it had the limiter
anybody any idea what it could have been

Friend of mine had one like that too few years ago, just catback and the Jam fcc, no boost controller though but was fairly quick! he got it dyno'd and think it was 158bhp but it used to boost straight up to 1.2bar and then drop to bout .8 in higher revs. Still had standard topmount and I think the mani was standard (still had heatshield but could of been a Jam mani)

The Glanza I got my Jam ecu out of wouldnt go past 180kph, but think that was because it was a slow piece of shit that even found it hard to reach 180! With the ecu in my car speed limit is gone

so in otherwords there wasn't an ecu in it at all :haha: the glanza galen mentioned above, i had my hybrid gt at the time, 186bhp and it was just about able to keep ahead of the glanza, it was boosting 1.2.

this was the same standard top mount mani and cat..I think it made somethin like 150 on the rollin road but yer man said it was prob more out on the road it kept spinnin wheels on the rollers even with a diff.

If it's a genuine JAM racing it should get rid of the speed limit, mine worked :) The "hi/lo" boost button still works, it also gets rid of the boost restriction in first and second gear in "hi" boost mode (glanza) and power delivery is a lot smoother.
