HLR and MSC are part of a mobile network as far as I'm concerned, we imitate this virtually (vHLR, vMSC, SMSC - you get the idea) Well actually its encapsulated over SMPP prior to this but thats something else. Like a mobile operator, we're just a DPC on a network.

This is what allows your mobile phone to deliver SMS to your landline when you use Orange, Vodafone, o2, T-Mobile etc. (And yes that is a solution we provide!)

I'm glad you enjoy testing because I hate it.

My friend whom works for HMGC waffles on about time division multiplexing but to be quite honest - it doesn't concern or interest me in the slightest for my application!

And like I said, 21CN isn't far away!

do you think when you use lots of acronyms it makes people say wow? the trick to technology is when you can talk about it in plain English, thats when you are confident in what you know.

Where above did I say I enjoyed testing? your observational skills are obviously not too great, probably what let down the BIG project and the oversight of daylight savings time adjustment....

Its been a very long time since I worked on any of above, it was a good stepping stone I guess but I quickly moved on.

Oh incase you want some acronyms from me... NGN, L2TP, GRE, PDP, GRX, CDMA, MPLS, ROFL, LOL.

Im concious we are spamming this lads thread so if you want to amaze me further with your knowledge of acronyms please send them via PM :)

To be honest, I helped the guy - it was you who had the desire to start nit picking for no real reason.

I'm not one for sitting around and letting people take the piss even if it was in an insinuating manner.

Close/Lock the thread!
